Virtual Machines List

This is our list of available virtual machines. At a glance, we can immediately grasp the overall health of our virtual machines though color-coded status icons and immediately take action on individual machines using the quick actions bar. Clicking on one of the virtual machines will then bring us to the information page for that particular virtual machine.

Virtual Machine Information

Here we see the live statistics for a given virtual machine. Currently displayed are CPU and network graphs, though with the addition of guest tools, we are also able to realtime monitor disk and memory usage for the machine.

Virtual Machine Configuration

By clicking the "Configuration" tab on the VM information page, we are able to modify a given virtual machine. There are four sections we can change from here: General, the name, operating system, and notes about the vm. Hardware, the number of virtual cpus, the amount of memory allocated to the vm, and the disk boot order. Storage, where we can add, remove, and modify the storage attached to the vm. Lastly, network, where we can enable and disable a virtual machine's network interfaces, change how it connects, and set information such as mac or ip.

Virtual Machine Consoles

Zentific provides full console access into virtual machines directly from the browser in a two different ways. The first method is by using our visual console, which allows us to connect with a java applet to our desired vm and display anything we would see on its screen; CLI or GUI both work great. The other option we offer is a browser based text console so we can run commands and manage our vm from machines which do not support or block java.

Virtualization Nodes

These pages allow us a quick overview of the nodes upon which we either can install or have installed virtual machines. Much like the VMs page, clicking on one of these node listings will bring us to a more detailed information page regarding the node.

User Management

Here we have our user management system where basic information about each user is displayed in a clear, easy to read format. From here we can add, remove, or modify users of the Zentific application, all through a simple user widget.

Group Management

Group management in Zentific is easy: simply navigate the groups page and we will be able to add, remove, or modify groups of varying permission levels. These groups can then be easily populated from our list of available users.

Storage

This page is our available storage management tool where we can see a list of the available storage backends and how much space each one currently has. Clicking one of these will bring us to the list of the disks which currently reside inside the given storage backend. Additionally, we can create or remove disks from the selected storage backend.

Networks

Our networking page, much like storage, gives us a view of the available network backend accessible to Zentific. Clicking on the networks listed here, however, we will be presented with a list of nodes which utilize the given network device and the option to disconnect one of them or add a new one.

System Configuration

Lastly we have our system configuration tool which allows us to modify general system settings for our virtual machines and the application itself.
